The World Bank is helping Nepali girls aged 16-24 years to find employment and stable incomes by providing technical and life skills training and providing them with job placement in 36 trades. Nearly 2500 young women have completed skills training during 2010-11. In 2012, 2007 more are expected. These women also receive optional guidance on psychosocial training, awareness on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, links to prospective employers, business and enterprise skills training and links to credit schemes.
The ODTA project is using the Georesults visualization tool to display images, videos and results stories of the project as the activities are taking place. Georesults helps to enhance transparency in project activities as it allows stakeholders and other interested parties to explore a project from a local perspective. This online space features an interactive map and a photo set with the before and after pictures of different project locations.
