In Bolivia, citizens provide actionable feedback on projects implemented by the Rural Development Ministry and its Rural Alliances Project via text and voice messages; web-based media (e.g., web, e-mail, Facebook); and traditional media (e.g., letters and meeting notes). OnTrack is the engagement tool that enables this. It is a platform that complements the existing feedback and accountability mechanisms of project implementation units (PIUs) and has been configured in order for PIUs to address suggestions, stories, problems submitted by citizens. This reduces the cost of going to the PIU offices to leave a request related to the project, and enhances transparency and the operation’s accountability. It also enables collaboration around desired project results and sharing of lessons learned from the neighborhoods benefited by the projects.
